Thanks for stopping by our website to check us out and the services we provide.  My name is Ryan Gagnon and like many people I grew up playing sports (soccer, baseball, and basketball).  I played rugby in college and always enjoyed the comradery that sports provided, and the life lessons it taught me.  I have always been able to lean on those sports/team lessons in my professional life over the last 25 years.

Fast forward to January 2023....married with four kids, three of which play travel soccer.  I've stood on the sidelines for the last 10 years as a parent watching my kids play, coaching for a couple years, and becoming a referee.  I also found myself traveling across the country with my kids to watch them play and make memories with their teammates, just like I was able to do.  I'm hopeful that they get out of their experience the same life lessons I was able to gain.

What I have experienced over the last couple of years though is that no one was capturing these moments, recording games, or sharing the kids' experience with family and friends.  Youth sports have become a business, and it can be extremely expense to travel.  Many times, only one parent can go, and the other is unable to watch the games.  I've also heard the same theme over and over again as my kids enter their high school years that you need to be an advocate for yourself, if you want to elevate your game to the next level.  Don't get me wrong, many times clubs and/or teams record games with AI video cameras, iPads, or cell phones.  These are great cameras for coaches to utilize for film review, tactical coaching, and positioning of players on the field.  However, I was looking to produce a high-quality video that parents, grandparents, family, and friends would enjoy watching, because they couldn't be there in person.

 

In January 2023, I purchased high quality professional equipment in order to bring the action on the field to those who couldn't be there in person.  Over the last year I have learned as much as I can about videography and postproduction video editing.  I have grown a true passion for videography and enjoy every minute of it.  I've also been grateful for an opportunity to work part-time as a videographer for a sports broadcasting company here in southeast Michigan.  Over the last year I've created content for my kids' teams and a few others who were looking for player highlight videos to share with scouts and coaches.  I've talked to many people about it and have found that there is a growing need for players and teams to highlight their players and games.

In February 2024, I decided to take a small leap of faith and create 248 Sports Media LLC.  My goal is to connect with people on a personal level to discuss their needs and produce a product that exceeds their expectations.  This is a two-way process and I always tell clients, “This is your video".  Let's work together to ensure you are 100% satisfied.  

 

Players and families can certainly put their own videos together, but I've found people don't necessarily have the expertise, time, or passion to put it together properly.  This is where we can step in to help and produce a high-quality product that you will be proud to share with others, as well as meet your timelines.
